Bitwarden - Recommended Settings

Open the Bitwarden extension settings menu.

Log into the Bitwarden extension (if you haven’t already).

Select Settings from the menu at the bottom of the extension.

Update Account Security settings.

Unlock options

Disable Unlock with biometrics

Disable Unlock with PIN

Session timeout

Set Timeout to “On browser restart”

Set Timeout action to “Lock”

Update Autofill settings

Autofill suggestions

Enable Show autofill suggestions on form fields

Disable Display identities as suggestions

Disable Display cards as suggestions

Enable Display suggestions when icon is selected

Disable Always show cards as Autofill suggestions on Vault view

Disable Always show identities as Autofill suggestions on Vault view

Autofill on page load

Disable Autofill on page load

Update Notification settings

Notifications

Disable Ask to save and use passkeys

Disable Ask to add login

Disable Ask to update existing login
